Networking procedure, Dave, Network & Daniel this eve, Tuesday, July 26, 2016 6:30pm
I recently read an article on Networking – 1. Intentional – 2. Icebreaker – 3. Career Goals – 4. Following up
1. Every event you go to should have a goal, an Intention. Not just to “glad-hand”, be seen and pile up biz cards. Make it like your job, your successful job. Set yourself up for success find the opportunity that meets your goal. BUT be selective. If you’re a Loan officer why would you go to events that have Loan Officers, your competitors. You’re probably better off at a wake…
2. Breaking the Ice – It’s not easy to walk up to strangers and introduce yourself. But remember everyone is MOST interested in themselves, so get interested in them and they’ll probably be interested in you (give to get?). “How come you’re here? I’m here to meet Movers and Shakers;-)”
3. Goals – Not some shtick “I’m here because I want to learn how to Flip Properties for Quick Cash and Buy Apartments for residual Income” That’s a little dated and it’s like I want to create World Peace, a very big goal. Let someone know what your next step is (Find a SF 2 bed, 1.5 bath that needs work in the 01945 zip code) and your ultimate goal (retire at 30).
4. Following up – If you’ve got the insight to bring business cards congratulations! However, as you hand them out, write something on the back (I’ve got a meeting, you NEED to attend!) otherwise it goes in the dust pile and who can remember who’s card it is… Also as you receive a card, write something on the back (met at Enterprise Center 4/30/2016 uses ScreenCast o matic and can help me use it). Don’t forget Networking doesn’t end when the event does.
and of course Just Go don’t debate whether, the next meeting could be your most important for Contacts!
email that went out at 8:51am 7/26/16
Good morning Investors, Contractors and Landlords,
Can you ask yourself one quick questions for me? “Am I doing much better now, than I did one year ago?” …..
(actually 2 questions), if not “Why do you think that is?”…. if you are: “How come?”….
You can write down the answers to those questions, keep them to yourself of course and think about them (as a Goal) at tonight’s important meeting. This evening you may be able to turn that around or improve it.
Dave Lindahl, who IS the Apartment King, will be TEACHING us how to invest in Multi Family properties, so we’ll be able to retire in style much earlier than expected. So far he’s purchased about 7,500 units himself and has over 100,000 students across the USA. But he began his career here in Massachusetts, still has a Headquarters South of Boston and is ready to share his techniques with us. Soooo it’s a don’t miss meeting for us.
Doors Open at 6:00pm we begin at 6:30pm with Buy-Sell-Networking (light refreshments also) Introductions, Steals and Deals, then Dave at 7.
We’ll recap at 9:00pm
There’s plenty of content so be prepared to take a ton of notes to Learn How you too can get into this business!
