Good Morning Fellow Real Estate Investors,
Our first Nor’easter of the season doesn’t seem so bad now but Friday and Saturday didn’t look too good!
Lessons learned from some of our members: Locate your Downspouts, Fuel Oil Fills and Vents and especially your Outdoor faucets to prevent Damage from a plow or Snowblower. Also do a quick once-over prior to snow fall for tree limbs, old newspapers and any other junk that could require a shear pin for your snowblower. We only needed one;-(
Lessons from the past: Always have new Shovels and plenty of Rock Salt, Sand or Pet friendly Melt at your properties, in case anyone needs to start shoveling out before you can get someone there.
If you’d like to replace or relocate an outdoor faucet (an upgrade would be a “frost proof sillcock’ which shuts off outside but drains back 12” to prevent freezing and breakage) you can call Tom the Plumber 617-697-7330 or Mike Kurtig 617-970-7036 both of whom you’ve seen at our meetings and they’re glad to help you. You can keep their numbers handy for any Plumbing or Heating problems also.
Movers and Shakers:
This Friday February 15, 2013 7-8:30 PM at Denny’s in Danvers 152 Endicott Street, Danvers, MA 01923 No charge to Members, $5 to Guests for our waitstaff tip. Refreshments served. Round robin What dificulties are you encountering? Someone always has a solution. What have you had success with? We’ll analyze your Farm area for the “Investing Sweet Spot” if you contact us PRIOR to the meeting;-) Real Estate market overall analysis and Funding analysis. This should be on Meetup today.
Meet the Contractors:
Tuesday, February 26 6:30 – 9:00 PM we’re hosting our monthly meeting at the Franklin American Offices in Woburn, MA 01801 (SpringHill Suites is undergoing renovations. We’re back there in March!) We’ve found that despite everything on the web and contacts with Email, LinkedIn, FaceBook, Twitter and Texting you still need human contact.
I’ve always said that Just like purchasing Real Estate, “No matter how much money you have or whatever the price, those things will never come together on their own. They can’t. They’re inanimate objects. You’re the Real Estate Investor, the Catalyst. You make it happen!” It’s in your interest to meet Buyers and Brokers. It is also in your BEST interest to meet Contractors. We’ll meet in Woburn, Franklin American, 300 Trade Center Suite 5650 (5th floor above the Beacon Grill) where you’ll have a chance to meet Contractors, Find out what they’ll do and not do, and get ready for your next project! This should also be on Meetup.
It’s great that there are many funding advantages for those that fight for our safety and the American way. If you know a Veteran, you can have them call me or stop by the office, call 781-405-1845 my cell first, since I’m usually out in the field with you Investors! and I’m glad to take care of them.
See you soon and good luck investing! Mike Hurney, Director MassRealEstate.net PO Box 307, Marblehead, MA 01945 781-639-8616 office
